Breaking News Update

Pokémon Sunday has unveiled the official release date in Japan for Pokémon Black/White: September 18th, 2010.

We were unable to capture the stream of Pokémon Sunday today and so we must thank Filb (click the link to visit Filb and watch the video) for posting the video of today's announcement. There was about 10 seconds of footage from the games shown today. We have captured the relevant images and posted them in our Gallery (click the image to see more images). In the image posted here we see what is most definitely a gym. Based on its appearance it looks like it is gym of the carnival themed city seen in the map posted several days ago.

When looking at the other images in our gallery you will see that versus screen is making a come back, against a character whose name translates as Cheren. Notice that the room that Cheren and another character are in with you is trashed, there are Pokémon pawprints all over the floor and walls, indicating this residence was ruined by a Pokémon, could it be a house in the ghost town in the desert?

The apparent villain appears in two screens. In the second image of the villain notice the ferris wheel behind him. This again seems to be occuring in the carnival themed town.

We have an exciting community based update for everyone today. Yes, today is all about sharing. Sharing just about everything there is worth sharing. We've even called a friend to help us share! First on the list is a major update for the Isshu Collection.

Set Two of the wallpapers based on the Pokémon of the fifth generation, has been added courtesy of our artistically inclined adminstrator Teej/TopHat. Click the image to the right to view and use them as you please. There's a grand total of ten new wallpapers, featuring Shimama, Chiramii, Hihidaruma, Meguroko, Mamepato, Munna, Zorua, Zoroark and the two popular Gear wallpapers created as a "bonus" in the project's topic. Feedback on the wallpapers is appreciated, so provide that by checking out the newest poll.

PREO Announcement

And next up for show-and-tell is our affiliate Skotein and his Pokémon Reorchestrated project!

pldh-x-preo-forum

Today he's releasing a splendid orchestration of the Vermilion City theme, which you can enjoy above. The PREO staff is not responsible for any fainting, hyperventilating or other side-effects of this experience. But now that we've shared so much, don't you feel like sharing as well? Why not share your thoughts about Pokémon Reorchestrated? Oh, I agree, that's the perfect plan, I wish I thought of it myself! Since you shared with us your wonderful idea, why don't we share with you a new forum, so that you can keep sharing? Oh, I'm overdoing the sharing thing now? Thanks for sharing your criticism, but I'd prefer it if you put it to a better use- like, say, this new PREO forum!

Come to the PREO forum to converse about the magical project. You can chat with each other about the general music from the games, the project, and even speak with PREO's heads Seiiki and Skotein. 'Slong as you're a good boy and girl, everything will just be great. If not, you'll suffer a "sharing manners" lecture. Click the image below to visit the new forum, located right here at PLDH!

Nintendo 3DS Release Year Confirmed?

As some of you may know, Nintendo of America's well known president Reggie Fils-Aime made an appearance on the Late Night With The Roots- er, Jimmy Fallon, tonight. While the primary focus of his appearance was to showcase Donkey Kong Country Returns, Reggie also had a little surprise up his sleeves. A 3D one, at that. After shocking everyone in the crowd with the 3DS, Jimmy Fallon asked Reggie when we could expect to see the 3DS. Reggie's response? Next year. Considering up until now Reggie, Iwata, and all other Nintendo representives haven't said more of the handheld's release other than "the fiscal year ending in March 2011", this is an interesting bit of information. And lately, Reggie has neither denied nor confirmed any holiday releases. However, if true, it could merely mean for North America alone, as we do not know if the 3DS is a global launch or will be launched by region.

Nintendo has stated that there are still many secrets they are keeping to themselves in regards to the device, and that the design of it is also not final. They plan to take in what they've been hearing people critique of the 3DS and use that information to finalize the project.
