I've slipped on recent PokéNews but I've been busy with finals and finishing our PokéDex, so there you go.
I'll start with the most recent development and work my back... Early on Sunday Pokémon.com officially revealed the existence of Shaymin. The introduction was complete with a minor PokéDex entry and explanations behind Shaymin's signature move (Seed Flare) and its ability (Natural Cure). They even gave a description on Shaymin similar to a Pokémon's ingame Flavortext, it is cited here, below...
It is said that in some regions, it is customary to give a Shaymin-shaped flower bouquet as a thank-you gift.
They also mention that Shaymin appears in the upcoming US release, Giratina and the Sky Warrior, Shaymin, and that they will reveal how to get Shaymin in the future...
As you've probably heard the "new" fifth generation Pokémon turned out to be a special Notched-ear Pichu. What exactly this means has yet to be made clear...
In the final bit of PokéNews Filb.de has announced that Japanese players of My Pokémon Ranch will have the opportunity to get a visit from a celebrity of the TV show Pokémon Sunday. To get the visit from Kinoshita the player must have made the Platinum update to MPR. Kinoshita will trade the player a special Meowth for a Bidoof. The Meowth's data, according to Filb.de is as follows...
In a Cherish Ball, at level 21 (Kinoshita's age), with Trainer ID 12098 (event start date) and holding a Pink Scarf.
The Pokémon Flygon and Skuntank have been given away in similar fashion. It is also reported that other members of the TV program will be participating in similar events in the month of February.
