So tonight might not have been the best night to go check out Avengers...
CoroCoro's been leaked and as such we present to you a tremendous flood of information for Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. We're looking at some returning characters and some explanations for features they've teased. Anyways, let's not waste any time and get right into this.
Fresh off the bat, CoroCoro reminds us of the stars of the first game. Alder, the former Champion, apparently introduces himself to the protagonist early in the game. His current status as far as the league goes is unknown. Bianca, your childhood friend and rival in BW is now Juniper's official assistant, just like she promised she'd become. She's the one that gives you your starter Pokémon. Off springs from the original trio, perhaps? Your other childhood friend and rival, Cheren, has now replaced Lenora as Unova's Normal-type leader. He is the first leader in the game. He even still hands out a Basic Badge. He is shown using a Patrat, and his gym fight appears to be held outdoors. Lastly, and certainly not least, N is still MIA; a Plasma sage is shown speaking with the protagonist, and no one seems to know where he is. Another Plasma grunt is also shown in that building.
Onto the next page! God, this one is all over the place. Remember the theater shown off in the trailer and in various screens? Well, that's got a name- it's Unova's version of Hollywood, questionably titled Pokéwood. Uh huh. Brycen, BW's Ice leader, is shown as an actor. That was a former career of his as mentioned in BW, but now we also know that he worked with Homika's father. The magazine doesn't mention if Brycen will return as a leader. For Pokéwood, you get to play out a movie scenario that consist of some Pokémon battles as well.
The third page is the biggest shocker of them all: the Kami/"genie" trio, which consists of Tornadus, Landorus and Thundurus, all now have new formes, while retaining their typing. Tornadus receives a boost in Defense, Special Defense and Speed; Landorus, Attack, and Thundurus, Special Attack. These new formes are referred to as their Sacred Beast formes. No word on how to unlock them, but they shall be featured in the anime soon. That page also mentions the AR Searcher software for the 3DS, and shows you can get at least Tornadus' Sacred Beast forme using it. Pokémon you catch in AR Searcher can be transported to B2W2.
Another page that I don't think anyone expected. Again, this is a feature they've teased in the trailer and in screens before, but haven't actually explained until now. In B2W2 you can take part in Pokémon World Tournaments, which features a lot of familiar faces. From left to right we got Cynthia, Blue, Brock, Misty, Giovanni, Volkner, Steven and Lance. Lt. Surge, Jasmine, Misty, Erika and- here it comes- Blaine are all shown as well.
Then we have the least exciting pages, which are the last two. They confirm a Meloetta distribution to go with the upcoming movie. It's at level 15 and knows only the moves it can normally know at that point (Round, Quick Attack and Confusion). The way to change its forme is the same as it is in BW. You take Meloetta to a cafe in Castelia where it learns Relic Song. Use that move in battle and the forme will change. The last page is where we derived our verdict on Cheren's gym leader position. The Basic Badge is going in the first slot of the badge case.
You can get a better look at the new formes for the Kami trio above. Tornadus seems to be an actual Bird now, while Landorus and Thundurus appear to be beasts of another kind. On a final note, Typhlosion, Crobat and Driflbim were shown in screens of the game. Whether or not these Pokémon will make the new Unova dex, we don't know. Dialga was shown as well, in a Wi-Fi battle with Keldeo. It's unlikely it's making the Unova dex, so yeah.
