The fifth generation Pokémon game names have just been revealed on the official site. The names are Pokémon Black and White. The site says more information will be revealed about the games on the 15th of this month.
An important thing to note from the new logos is the fact that the Nintendo DS logo appears along with them. Considering commentary that has already been made about the games this is likely a confirmation that the games will in-fact be released on the Nintendo DS despite some speculation from the fanbase that the games will be released on the upcoming 3DS system.
Another minor note: These names were copyrighted in April of last year, along with: Grey, Crimson and Scarlett. We're already seeing a lot of speculation regarding the third game's name, though it really is too far out to even be thinking about these things, Grey does fit this scenario.
We will have more regarding the games as information comes. We do expect quite a bit more over the next week as Pokémon Sunday is slated to reveal some information along with CoroCoro.

The blog of Junichi Masuda, GAME FREAK's Director of Development, has just been updated. The translated post says the following (click the previous link to view it untranslated):
Original Post for April 8, 2010
Well, our previous post was made on April Fool's Day and we obviously didn't mean it! So, with that in mind where is PLDH headed over the coming weeks and months?
Did you know we have over 80 detailed pages covering HeartGold and SoulSilver? Be sure to check out our HGSS section for a ton of information and answers you may not have known that you had.
First off, we are completely prepared for the upcoming Fifth Generation news rush. News from CoroCoro is expected literally any minute (we base this on the perceived leak which generally comes prior to the magazine's actual street date, which is the fifteenth), and on Saturday we'll be getting some information from Pokémon Sunday. So be sure to keep checking back for our Generation Five coverage.
Secondly, we are preparing a major set of updates for the website. You won't see any major changes until later in May but work has already begun. Things you can expect to see during the update include: improved menus, an updated PokéDex and two new sibling Dexes as well as expansions to Tracker and a brand new homepage! Stay tuned for more in-depth news regarding the updated site, dubbed "42" for version 4.2.0, in the coming weeks.
We've saved the best for last, in our opinion. You may have noticed a new affiliate button on the bottom of our page, or maybe not. It is true, we do have a brand new affiliate and our proud to officially announce it. PREO stands for Pokémon ReOrchestrated. What is it? Well we hooked up with a friend on Youtube who's musical renderings really impressed us. User Skotein has taken Pokémon soundtracks and turned them into orchestral rearrangements which sound absolutely fantastic. Check out the video below, which features some of his work, and don't forget to check out his pages if you like it.
