Understanding the Chart
Natures affect which stat increases at a quicker rate than the others and as a result which nature decreases at a quicker rate than the others. There are two kinds of natures - neutral and non-neutral - with neutral natures all stats increase equally while non-neutral natures affect two stats.
Natures are also provided in Hiragana to assist those playing through imported games in a language they may not recognize.
- Non-neutral markers in this chart -

- ^ - A stat with this symbol will increase by the multiplier 1.1
- ^ - This is a nature beneficial to the indicated stat.
- ^ - A Poffin flavor with this symbol indicates that a Pokémon will be happy eating the Poffin.

- v - A stat with this symbol will increase by the multiplier .9
- v - This is a nature detrimental to the indicated stat.
- v - A Poffin flavor with this symbol indicates that a Pokémon will be unhappy eating the Poffin.
- *** A blank square indicates the stat is unaffected and thus increasing normally.
The utility of natures is most obvious when considering a Pokémon's strength/s. A Pokémon with a high Speed stat may find utility in using a beneficial nature for Speed, however it may also wish to increase an Attack stat to do more damage to opponents. These are the decisions competitive battlers face and the choices on what natures to use may end up playing a part in the battle's outcome. Neutral natures are rarely ever used or recommended for competitive play.
The 'Favored Berries' shown below are the berries that can be held by a Pokémon of the respective grouping and when the Pokémon eats the berry to regain 1/8th of its health it will not get confused. If it eats any of the other 4 berries that restore 1/8th health (Figy, Wiki, Mago, Iapapa, & Aguav) the Pokémon will become confused unless it has a neutral nature.
The HP(Health/Hit Points) stat is currently unaffected by natures.
