Ecruteak Gym is relatively unchanged since GSC. You will find it is dark with the exception of the trainers who are visible. Scattered about are flames which light up the areas around them. Aside from them its the same concept.

You have a single path to navigate, which will face you to battle all four trainers. On either side of the path is abyss which, if fallen into, will warp you back to the gym's beginning. Simply follow the path, avoid falling, battle the trainers and you eventually end up at Morty's platform for the showdown.

Battling all of the trainers in this gym yields 4,612 EXP and and 3,744 PokéDollars.

To get Morty to battle you again you must first locate him to obtain his number...

• Location: Bellchime Trail (path to Tin Tower)

After getting his number you must call him Tuesday night. Once this is done he will appear at the Dojo in Saffron City.
