#8/16 Viridian Gym, Blue
Viridian Gym, like Cinnabar Gym, has changed since GSC, adding a more complex puzzle and some trainers. You will recognize this puzzle type from previous games - Viridian Gym in RBYFRLG, Team Rocket's base in RBYFRLG, the Power Plant in RBYFRLG as well as it being one of Hoenn's Trickmaster's puzzles and the Mossdeep Gym. Below are the detailed instructions how which tiles to use to make it to Blue. Venture off of our written path for additional battles at your own behest.
First, step on the red arrow along the far right wall. Next, head westbound for the red tile which points north.
Next select the red tile north of the stop tile. Repeat the next instruction three times in a row and you will arrive at the base of the stairs leading up to Blue. Use the red tile to the right of stop tile you land on. Again, do that three times in a row. Good luck in your final gym battle.
Battling all of the trainers in this gym will yield 21,814 EXP and 21,420 Pokédollars.

Blue Rematch
To get Blue to battle you again you must first locate him to obtain his number...
- Day: Everyday
- Time: 3PM to 4PM
- Location: Pallet Town, Blue's House
- You must show Daisy, his sister, a single Pokémon to groom 5 times (so you must go to their house 5 different days).
- After grooming that one Pokémon five times, she will offer her brother's number to you.
After getting his number you must call him Sunday night. Once this is done he will appear at the Dojo in Saffron City.
