The Battleground

The Battleground is located in the Survival Area of the Battle Zone Island. It is run by Buck and made available after you complete the Stark Mountain side-quest involving Buck. There you will have the opportunity to battle all gym leaders and partners from earlier in the game.

The Battleground is marked by your rival who is constantly outside, awaiting entrance to the facility. He will never get access but you can still battle him on Saturday and Sunday. Unlike the trainers inside, your rival's Pokémon's levels will increase three times until his starter reaches level 85. This makes the battles with your trainer the highest leveled in-game battles to date.
