So, what do you guys think about the new Pokemon, Moves, Abilities, Items and their effect on the metagame?

I could care less about that stuff, however I think that Rotational battles will probably be a new standard battle form, like singles....

I also think the Battle Subway will be super cool hopefully it has the 3 on 3 and rotational battles

EDIT: I've just seen some of the new abilities of some Pokemon

Overconfience Salamence and Gyarados is uncalled for. Tauros wants it more

Poison Rampage Zangoose looks cool and has a positive future

Dragonite's new ability is fairly better than his last one, but it can make him more bulky nonetheless

However Tauros with Encourage is good and so is Nidoking and Feraligatr

Overall, I think they will have a big impact in the competitive Pokemon world (I don't know what metagame is) but not a game changing one.

Kinda wish nite got Engourage though

Some pokemon and some moves are broken beyond belief. Kudo and I were discussing this earlier, actually.

There has been a TON of additions to the metagame, it isn't even funny.

Drought Ninetales
Drizzle Politoad
Poison Heal Gliscor
Chlorophyll Venusaur
Rain Dish Tentacruel / Blastoise
Solar Power Charizard
Speed Boost Blaziken

That's just a few...

The auto rain or auto sun can destroy your team... You could essential have an entire team of people with speeds over 350, and not locked into a move.  And on top of that in rain they are getting boosted stabs.

Poison heal gliscor is crazy.  It gets 12.5 health return, and it isn't hurt by sandstorm. Same can be said for the two rain dish during rain.

Venusaur becomes a fast, bulky sub seeder with a 75 accuracy sleep move.

Solar power charizards Fireblast becomes rude,

Lastly speed boost blacken becomes usable. Slap a focus sash, SWord Dance and boom.

Oh btw T-Wave goes through typing, and toxic is now 85 accuracy or 90 I can't remember.

Does ditto auto transform now? This would be a great ability. I don't even have to guess what moves the opponent will use anymore.

He does autotransform now.

Stupid question: can you change the ability of a mon in the dream world or are the new abilitie on catchable monsters? Because I have an ev-trained Ditto and I don't want to go through that again.

Hmm... Everyone on smogon is saying they are brand new Pokemon, in which you can't receive egg moves since they are not bred-able. This could be good though since Stealth Rocks is not a TM anymore. This means if you want a new ability, you gotta give up the rocks.

Btw rumor has been proved false. T-Wave is still affected by typing.

The worst news I've heard all year (vg related) is that there is no BF in B/W

And watch them put one in the third game

While I probably shouldn't address this your statement about battle towers/battle frontier is absolutely ludicrous. That expectation makes no sense whatsoever as there is nothing the company has ever done to indicate it would happen.

Crystal introduced the Battle Tower. There was no such place in Gold/Silver.
Emerald introduced the Battle Frontier. The Tower which existed in RuSa was added onto with a variety of facilities.
Platinum continued the Battle Frontier by keeping and replacing some facilities. Diamond/Pearl had only a Battle Tower, as was the exact case in GenIII.

I won't be counting HGSS for the simple facts that they merely recycled Platinum's facilities, were released after Platinum and are remakes.

And now its GenV. I have no idea how you got the idea that a full Frontier would exist in these two games but there was no reason to get your hopes up... We've got the Battle Subway. Apparently, its an Americanized version of the Battle Tower. We'll undoubtedly see improvements and additions in the anticipated Gray version. Until then, please stop this nonsense.

I feel like adding I've found some facilities around Isshu that are mini-Frontier-like experiences.

There was one where I seemed to be playing to see how long my team would last, in... gah, forgot the name of the carnival city with the Battle Subway. I
