Oh, I meant to ask about this before, but are we doing just a plain text-styled walkthru, or are we also going for a graphical, html/xml based one?

Eventually, both. However, I think the current idea and initial product is going to be text, as it's easier to port around to other locations such as GameFAQs.

A nice goal would be the first, if not among the first, to dominate the different sections. If worked on as a group, similar to how some FAQs on GameFAQs are made on the boards, it's possible to get one or two guides up before the rest, and then later maybe more.

Does anyone happen to know anyone that would be interested in providing some Japanese help?

Well, its kind of a long shot, but there's some users in my Monster Hunter community that do know Japanese stuff, and if I'm not mistaken, they do play pokemon. I'll see if they'd be interested in it.

I volunteer my left keyboard for the task of helping to write a walk-through, given that I can accurately gauge the information as well as having time to sit for a bit and just see the wild Pokemon and how they look/do/battle to see if they are catch-worthy. The only downside that I would have is that I cannot spend the money to get a Japanese DS/new system and the game, so the walk-through will have to be second-hand and the other thing would be my college studies comes before all of this obviously, Economics before games, that's what they tell me. -Shadow

DS units are not region encoded and so you can play imported games on english systems.

This is how I have done things for the last 4 years.

Matter of fact, GB systems weren't either. Imported and played Gold way back when.
