Lead
2 phys and spec sweepers
1 mix sweeper and a status pokemon?

Re: Balanced Team Help!
Balance usually has a lead, a set up lategame sweeper, 3-4 Pokemon to assist the lategame sweeper sweep, and 1-2 "pivot" Pokemon.
An example of a lategame sweeper would be SDLucario, who's able to easily OHKO/2HKO almost everything in the game.
Lucario is countered by Gliscor, Cresselia, Gyarados, and Salamence (the latter two countering when running a bulky set). As such, some of your other Pokemon would be other offensive Pokemon that can deal with these Pokemon, such as a MixMence, BaitTar, SubCharge Rotom-w, etc.
Pivots are usually Pokemon that you can switch a wide variety of things into with little fear of getting killed in one shot. Bulky waters like Swampert, Suicune, Vaporeon, and defensive Gyarados are examples of a pivot, as is Scizor, Metagross, Tyranitar, and the like. These Pokemon generally have a combination of good typing and great defensive stats.

Re: Balanced Team Help!
Generally, lategame sweepers have a setup move and/or powerful attacks that hit a wide variety of Pokemon. CMLatias is good lategame, but there are better choices.

Re: Balanced Team Help!
Sure. Just remember that a lategame sweeper doesn't necessarily have to be saved until the lategame. It's usually the lategame that they're most successful, due to little being able to take more than 2 hits at a point where Stealth Rock/Sandstorm/attack damage should have worn down most of the walls.

Re: Balanced Team Help!
Just remember that these aren't the only Pokemon that can sweep effectively lategame; these are just some of the most prevalent ones.
