Random note: you don't take damage while walking around if poisoned anymore. Teej found this out a couple days ago but I haven't seen anyone talk about it, so yeah.

Re: Pokémon Black/White: Discovery Thread
A couple of things I have noticed...
When catching a pkmn the ball will not always roll 3 times. Sometimes you can catch the mon on the first roll.
When teaching a new move to a mon (not sure if its only TMs, cant remember) but the new move, if its PP is greater than the PP of the move that is being overwritten, will assume the amount of PP of the overwritten move.
I had a third one I told myself to remember last night... Will edit if I can remember it.

Re: Pokémon Black/White: Discovery Thread
It's only TMs.
I had my first one-roll-only catch yesterday when catching a Kibago.
Edit: OH YEAH, there's this cave you encounter early in the game where you and Cheren take on two Plasma grunts in a double battle. When you first go there, you need Surf to keep moving on so you have to leave.
I went back there with Surf and found a flight of stairs leading down.
Now, if you've played BW you're familiar with this, but some may not be. In any area you can encounter Pokemon (with an exception to the desert I believe), you can find that at random times, certain tiles will start to act up. For caves, it'll look like something is coming out of the dirt, grass will shake, and in water tiny whirlpools are created. If you make it to that tile, you can either receive an item or a battle with a rare Pokemon.
In the water in this new area of this cave, I was able to find the blue-striped Basurao on the active tiles in Black- multiple times. Basurao is actually a "version exclusive" Pokemon to some extent since in Black you only see the red one and in White you only see the blue one.
So yeah, something I found out last night.

.
Can you give an example, I think I understand it but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm sick of always hearing

Re: Pokémon Black/White: Discovery Thread
You're replacing your Pokemon's Ice Beam with Flamethrower. You've used Ice Beam three times. You use the TM and look at your Pokemon's moves, and you'll find that Flamethrower's PP is 7/15.

Actually, I have black and I've seen both.
And I've seen them in every body of water, more or less.
I think that you find the red ones normally and only the blue ones on the special tiles.
At least for Black

Re: Pokémon Black/White: Discovery Thread
So that would probably make it the same for White, except with blue and red reversed. Cool.

Re: Pokémon Black/White: Discovery Thread
^ That's correct. Their commonality is reversed, so there's technically no exclusivity going on, its just you will have to catch the rarest one on the rare tiles.
The third thing is, and this is simply aesthetic, that the lower a mon's HP gets, the slower its sprite animation moves in battle. Kinda cool but yea, aesthetic only.
The amount of trainers and level of their monsters increases at the stadiums in carnival town (forget the name <_<).
EDIT:
Differences are not just version based!
Ze and I were discussing how to get the Amulet Coin (we all totally missed this) and he is playing as the female character to see if it made any differene and it did. I was saying to look for three women at various points throughout Hiun to battle, etc. He was instead finding guys at these locations. So, there's one set of differences.
Then, at the ferris wheel in carnival town, the person you can battle there once a day has their gender set as the opposite of yours as well :)

I noticed this when my game crashed (>_>). If you start during the day, when you walk out of your house the pigeons fly away, but if you start at night they are replaced by the new bats.
